E Ink on-cell Kaleido Plus is the latest generation of color screens made using"electronic paper" technology with better specifications. In comparison with the previous generation the contrast of these screens in color mode with the front light on is 40% and color enhancement is 15% higher. The contrast in black and white mode became 30% higher. Thanks to their ability to display 4096 colors, these screens are convenient for reading literature and ebooks with colored images. The pixel density is 300 dpi in black-and-white mode and 100 dpi in color mode. Reading on this screen is as comfortable as reading from the page of a good paper book.
SNOW Field is an operating mode of the screen, allowing to reduce the number of artifacts on the screen when it is partially refreshed. If this function is on, full refresh of the screen is not needed.
The MOON Light technology allows you to use the device in the dark or under poor lighting conditions. When this function is in use, soft luminescence of the screen comfortable for reading in dark rooms and safe for your sight is being generated. MOON Light system uses a reflective light distribution. The light-conducting layer is located over the display. The light goes through this layer and is reflected towards the screen being absorbed by the dark elements of the image and then this reflected light enters the eyes. Protective glass from a well-known Japanese manufacturer ASAHI is placed on top of the E Ink screen and protects it from scratches and other damages.
